Online Maths Tutor
Freelance
After my enjoyment and success at teaching music, I gave teaching Mathematics a try. It further enhanced my communication skills and my students thrived in a more conversation based environment. Unfortunately, I was not able to continue for much longer since the combined time of lesson planning and resource creation was not feasible to fit into my schedule.
Drum Teacher
Freelance
I have been playing drums since 2009 and chose to take up teaching. It was an awesome journey to see the progression of others. As my first teaching role, I could see myself becoming more confident in my communication skills and the ability to attempt the same challenge with a different approach or explanation.
Junior Developer
TouchByte
After building an interest for artificial intelligence, I managed to get myself a week placement at TouchByte, which is a facial recognition company. I spent a week in February testing the end product for vulnerabilities and managed to uncover a few. I even remotely turned off the system! After my work earlier in the year, I was asked back to the company in the summer to help with the development of their API for integrating their access control system with other software. I also created maintenance scripts than run on production servers to this date that regularly check multiple aspects of the system in deployment.
Mechanic
Steve Andrews Tyres
Taken on after work experience to help with the fitting of tyres, batteries and brakes at my local garage.
